Viewing Line extends too far down when published

Line extends too far down when published

User: Guest 10 years ago
Not sure this is a bug-or something I've not yet caught on to. In EW, when I place a thin vertical red line to the left of a text block that's aligned left, the line, which is supposed to be the length of the text block, sometimes extends too far below when I publish it to folder. I suspect it might have something to do with the text block itself but haven't had any luck adjusting things like the inset. I've attached a screenshot...

What browser are you seeing this in?

Safari. It only happens about 20% of the time-I've done a bunch of these red vertical lines. But haven't been able to track down what the incorrect extensions have in common. Still, I've noticed that when I click on the text boxes, sometimes I'm able to bring the selection handles up high close to the bottom line of the text (thinking maybe that's the issue), sometimes I cannot. (To do that, I copy the text, create a new text box, paste the text into that and that often lets me bring the selection handles up high-but not always.)

You can only make the text boxes small enough so that all the text fits in it. This includes extra line feeds at the bottom and paragraph spacing set in the Text Inspector.

FYI, posting full EasyWeb and Safari screenshots showing this line issue would help.

Here are the EasyWeb and Safari screenshots-hope they're full enough to display the issue.

On the first, you see the Safari page (with the more intense, sharp colors) where on the right the vertical red line extends too far down. On the left, the red vertical line is too close to the text blocks.

On the second page, you see the original created in Easy Web.
