Good day guys.
Is there a plan to add AMP to Everweb?
Many thanks

AMP is mainly aimed at those who use a CMS (Content Management System). These are notoriously inefficient. If you take a look at the source code of a site created using Wordpress, you will notice that they require large number of supporting scripts.

EverWeb users don't need a system like AMP to achieve effecient web pages - just a little knowledge and common sense.

The main problem I see with slow download using EverWeb is the user not taking the time to understand about optimising and inserting media files. Image and video files make up a large portion of the average page content and can reduce page download time to a crawl if not handled correctly.

Here's some info about website images and how to prepare and insert them and a forum post demonstarting the advantage using lazy loading.

Many thanks for the explanation. Just mentioned the AMP system, because I liked how it can re-sizes a web page to suit your device and it has at least four different formats when zooming in. Is there a video showing the resizing function on EverWeb.
Must mention, I love all the support videos, they are all short and to the point exactly what you need. The last thing you need is to trail through 15 minutes of video just to show how to do one thing. Awesome.

This is not unique to AMP and involves creating responsive pages.

You can create responsive pages with EverWeb using suitable widgets. Check out the Info section of the EverWeb Widgets website for more about this.

In terms of download efficiency, it is much better to create two versions of the site. One using a combination of Hero and Responsive widgets for those using computers and tablets and another using Responsive and/or Mobile widgets for phone users. This solves the problem of supplying smaller, faster downloading media files for those using wireless cell phone networks.
