So you grew up near Portland, correct?
Yeah, 45 minutes outside of town in Salem, That is the capital of Oregon. But I came up to Portland when I was a kid. I always had friends up here. I had been attracted to it.

And when did you go to Portland?
I think I was 18 when I moved up here.
Portland has a reputation for being a best skateboard because of Burnside being there. Do you ever skate there or did when you were younger, you ever ride ?

No. I mean I moved there a few times as a Kid but it never really clicked for me. There was so much things, for example, other parks that are and stuff that I skate. It was too tough to skate. Burnside is one of the places that appears cool but it's really ****ing hard to skate.

So what's the street scene just like in Portland Today like if you were a child, and what was it?
It's totally different. It's huge. I Like it is really a scene today feel. There groups of skaters and multiple filmers. I feel like when I was growing up there were just a few crews of people. Now it's all over. Every kid has a skateboard.
What do you think about the recent influx of Street experts moving to Portland, like Joey Pepper Nick Boserio?
I think it helps a good deal. It fosters the energy. Folks become stoked from that.
When you were growing up, that were the Portland street legends that you looked up to?
Matt Beach and Jayme Fortune were the Two top dogs in Oregon. They were the dudes.
As a pro skater, what caused you to Opt to Remain In the area instead of moving someplace where the weather is a bit bit more forgiving?
I feel like I must travel much, I got to Get out so much that I was never stuck. If I was completely stuck here throughout the winter I believe I'd begin to go pretty crazy. However, I chased sunlight. In the winter I'll visit LA or somewhere like that. You have to escape from the rain.
Do you think it would be more easy to have a Skateboarding career do you think that you are able to live or in someplace like LA?
I think it's definitely a Bit More Challenging up here because you are a little more from the loop. In LA you can get away with not skating because you are around everyone. Everyone sees you all of the time, so that they get the feeling that you're skatntg. Here you have to put in that extra effort to promote. But it's happened to a lot of people that reside here. They get missing.

What are a few of the rain strategies? Before You were able to travel, how did you maintain skating through the winter?
There was an indoor park The shop, the Pharmacy of Cal ran Department of Skateboarding and it, and it was ****ing amazing. That place was the best. But it shut down.

Are there any parking garages or any Underground skateboard reviews.

Yeah, there is a few. Nothing too special but We hit a few cold-ass parking garages once I was younger, all dim and dark. However, you haveta do it.

When I was a kid, my buddies and I believed Vert skaters were not cool. Can you and your friends who skated road feel that way about men that skated transition or guys who skated Burnside?
Yeah, it wasn't just like a steak but it was a lot More separated and a lot more divided than it currently is. Now it's all meshed together. Like you were only a street skater, back then, I believe and it was weird to picture at a skatepark. It is different now.
Like this transcends the area and I feel Holds true for skateboarding generally. There's tons of children that will skate anything in front of them.
Yeah, totally. I feel like using the new Creation of kids it's just natural. They learn transition. It is crazy.
So how come so many individuals Northwest are hippies? What is it?
I think it's being in the and just the scenery forest. It's just a natural sense. It's a very relaxing location. You do not even need to get stoned to be more relaxed here. It's that nice. It's only a beautiful place.
It is like a natural high.
Yeah, you're surrounded by trees and when it's Pleasant, it is really fine and you appreciate it more because you're looking forward to that sunshine.
How many days out of the year does it rain?
It inconsistent but it four Months out of the year.
Just nonstop?
Yeah. Like, close shit weather.
Do you believe skateboarding equipment lasts a Quantity of time? Like, do you think you proceed through bearings than somebody in Arizona?
Yeah, it's rough and just rugged from all The rain and snow. Everything is demanding and you go through boards.
What do you do to kill the time when it is too Wet to skate?
I've been drawing a lot. And Netflix is A massive thing in my entire life.
What type of stuff do you draw?
Just everything comes out. Nothing specific, really. I've just been doodling.

If someone is considering moving to Portland From someplace not so moist, what information would you give them?
You gotta be well prepared. You gotta have some Other hobbies besides skating. You gotta have some stuff you can do indoors or Else you'll probably be in the pub every best skateboard brands.
