I updated to v2.6 today on a Mac. When I attempt to publish my website, I am now receiving an error: "Protocol Error: Illegal characters found in URL" I've been publishing this website for about a year with prior versions of EW without this error. Suggestions??? Thanks - Michael |

Hi Michael, Sorry for the problems you are experiencing. Definitely a strange message. What is entered in your directory path field? Can you contact customer support with your FTP details so we can take a look? With those details we can trouble shoot the issue and get it fixed ASAP. EverWeb 2.6 completely changes how FTP publishing works so there could be some issues with it. Thank you - I submitted a ticket yesterday and sent a screen grab with my settings. Directory path: "/public_html" - publishing to MacHighway I have an non-updated copy of EW (2.5.1) on another Mac and it continues to publish without the error - settings are identical. Michael |

I'm having the same but intermittent error with 2.6. Used to be rock solid. Been a pain today. Sometimes publishes sometimes results in error. No changes on my side. EDIT: Actual error "protocol:" Last edit 6 years ago |
