Viewing Tablet won't show mobile site

Tablet won't show mobile site

User: William C. 6 years ago
I have access to several laptops, a desktop, two phones and an iPad. I have a decent desktop site, and a mobile site I like. What I can't figure out is why the iPad I have shows only the desktop site, not the mobile site. I've tried three different browsers on the iPad with the same results.

Here's my site: www.BillCarson.TV

If anyone with a tablet is seeing the mobile site, man, I'd love to hear that. The mobile site has only our demo reel on the front page. The desktop site has about 20 videos on it.

Other thoughts? This is making me crazy. Crazier...

I'm on a Mini and yes, the regular site came up. BUT, the text is very readable and everything seems to work comfortably in a way that visiting the site I would prefer this view – even on an iPad Mini.

Thanks... it actually doesn't look correct on our iPad... I don't understand why the mobile site doesn't come up. Very kind of you to reply.

Visitors are redirected to the mobile site based on the screen width of their device. Using the EverWeb default redirect, the device needs to have a screen width of 700px or less.

An iPad has a screen width of 774px in portrait mode so visitors using most tablet devices will see the full site.

To change this, you would need to uncheck the EverWeb redirect to mobile in the Page inspector and insert your own.

Here's some info about redirects, what they do and how they are created.
