Post scheduler

This is a nice-to-have instead of a must-have so I realize it'll go at the bottom of the list. But when EW is perfect and it's time to add some doodads, here's hoping it'll make it.

I'm like many, I tend to start working on a new page (or site) as early as possible so the last minute crunch is not that bad. Sometimes I can finish early and the page will sit on a non-linked section until the time is right. It would be nice to have a way to schedule the posting to occur on a set day and time without my having to add ticklers to my calendar to do it. One example would be a page or splash change to reflect a particular event or day (New Year!) that would update the site at midnight when I'm long gone in bed.

Just a thought.

If you publish to a server other than the EverWeb one you can do this if you have a good FTP app. I use Yummy FTP Pro.

Files can be selected and placed in the Queue Drawer. These are then selected and the time of the transfer set by clicking the clock icon.

File uploads can also be set to repeat. For example, if you have a monthly newsletter which you are publishing regularly via an iframe, you can update the file anytime and then it will upload at the specified time to appear in the frame on the EverWeb site. This means that you can update the info automatically without opening EverWeb.

Hi Roddy -

I post to the EW server, hence the request. Just a "nice to have" but not very practical from the programming angle I know. Several other sites I use FTP and that trick.
