My page speed is significantly affecting my SEO on the site below. Two google related feedback I have received but have not clue how to address is. Can someone please help? I'd hate to have to change to Wordpress. Thx in advance!!! www.BucksPsych.com PROBLEM: Setting an expiry date or a maximum age in the HTTP headers for static resources Problem 2: Your page has 4 blocking script resources and 3 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page. |

The problems you have mentioned are quite insignificant. What you didn't mention is the image optimisations required. The main culprit is the wood texture background image which probably slows your page download time more than all the other items together. It's always better to reduce image sizes to the actual dimensions required before importing into the web design app. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Thanks for the quick response. I've made the changes you've suggested but it has only changed things incrementally. Is there a a way to change the other two concerns mentioned? | |

You can't do anything about these without accessing the source code which would have to be done after publishing to a local folder. You would need to do this every time you made changes to the site. The gain in performance would not justify the time involved. Your page download time is 1.38 seconds which is more than fast enough. Even impatient surfers like me will wait for about 4 or 5 seconds for a page to download! ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
