Placeholder showing up on web - no image

User: Dennis C. 7 years ago
I've been a user for a few years and this problem rarely happens, but here's the description. Everything looks fine in Everweb but once published, the image doesn't appear - just a placeholder. In some cases Everweb is trying to give me a clue because the page icon in the directory is red instead of black. But I don't know how to fix it. I try deleting the page and starting over, and that helps sometimes, but not always. I'm wondering if the asset is corrupted and if I should just try deleting it from the assets and starting over that way.

Thanks,

dennis

Hi Dennis,

Do you have an example of this happening online somewhere? If so, please provide the link so I can take a look.

Thanks for your reply Paul. The website is www.dcphotoartistry.com and the problem involves three links but the easiest link to find is to click on the big image on the main page which takes you to that image's page. Only the placeholder appears. When I preview my site in Safari or Firefox it is fine, so the problem must be in transmission to GoDaddy (or perhaps the problem is simply with GoDaddy). I'll keep trying what I've been doing - deleting the pages that are the problems and re-doing. This basic problem happened once or twice before and eventually I was able to get everything to work.

Hi Dennis,

It just looks like your entire website not been published.

Make sure to publish directly from EverWeb to your FTP server and select Publish Entire Site from the File menu
