EW 2.2 beta with animations is fun to use but has a Simulator.app problem

I made a backup of my project and installed EW 2.2 beta to test it. The animations can be subtile or really like eye candy. It's easy to use and fun to work with. Great enhancement of the program.
EW 2.2 beta worked without a glitch. No falling overs or sudden freezes, publishing worked, contact forms did what you expect them to do and the animations looked great.
But while testing the animations for mobile use I came across one bug. When I clicked the main menu: “File > Preview > Similator.app” I got a warning message on screen “The document “index.html” could not be opened. Simulator cannot open files in the “HTML document” format.”
So although Xcode, which contains the Simulator.app, was installed on my iMac it didn’t trigger the simulated preview via EW.
The work around was “File > Preview > Safari.app” which open the website locally in Safari. Open Simulator.app and copy the local URL from Safari into the Simulator to test the mobile website.
Not a big deal but some extra work. It would've been better if the Simulator.app could be trigger directly from EW’s Preview menu.

This bug is not unique to 2.2b. It has been around for a while as well as EverWeb ignoring Firefox as an option.

It is more important to test in Firefox and Google's Chrome since Safari for desktop is a minority browser. If the page is OK in Chrome it will work in Safari.

You don't need to copy and paste the URL from Safari to the iOS Simulator - just drag it. See THIS page for more info.
