| I am using the advanced contact form widget provided in EverWeb and I am receiving a lot of emails from advertisers and sales people. I have not setup the SMTP settings (Server, username, password, etc) through my website (www.artthatsings.com) and I would like to ad some sort of secure contact form that would filter out such emails. I realize that I get emails from people who picked up my business card at one of my art exhibitions, or got my contact info from social media, etc., but I would prefer to eliminate the possibility of unwanted emails coming from my website. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to install a secure contact form? Appreciate the help! | |

If you have made your email address public, that's where the bulk of the spam is coming from. You will get very little spam via a contact form. Set up a new email address for it. Roddy, Thank you for the reply. I had the same thought and I think you're right about the reCaptcha. After all, the idea is to not turn customers away! Do you know if there is any advantage to completing all the SMTP settings? I have setup most of it, except the server, username, password, info. Thanks! |

You are more likely to receive the email if you have the contact form info set. Some servers will not deliver the email without them entered. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Hi Paul, I'm having issues with the contact and advance contact form in 2.1.1 Client can't reply to the emails sent from the site. how do I fix this? I have contacted support yesterday and still no solution, I need to fix this today I have a website scheduled for release today, 2 others by Friday.
