I need to be able to create a page that acts as a "contact sheet," in other words, is a gallery of photos with captions underneath. The challenge is: 1. I need to upload a large number of pictures (250), which means I have to be able to drop them into a widget/other in bulk—not upload each one at a time 2. I need to be able to use the file name as a caption as a default. Ideally, I want all the pictures to display on one page and have the ability to adjust top/bottom/inside margins and the caption font, as well as the ability to click on a picture to enlarge it. Apple's iWeb was able to do this. Other options out there like JAlbum not only limit me to having to use their template, but they highly compress the photo thumbnails which is unacceptable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. LC |

Hi Les, I guess our Image Gallery widget will do fine for you! He does most of the things you described automatically so feel free to test it. There are only a few things worth clarifying. You can add multiple images to Gallery by just selecting them in Assets and dragging and dropping to the widget. The number of displayed pages is controlled from Inspector > Widget Settings tab, as well as all other parameters. --Wayne, I have tried your image gallery. Unfortunately, in its current configuration, it only supports a maximum of 50 images a page. There is also no way I know of to have the file name display as the default caption. My other requests that include the ability to adjust top and side margins are also not supported. Is there a version of the widget that perhaps I have failed to implement? Thanks, LC |
