I am seeing some dramatic improvements in the first version with the new name. HTML Snippet previews are working SO much better and the use of hex colors instead of images has improved the navigation enormously. I'm still not getting custom CSS for the <header> and #navmenu divs - entered into the Head Code box - to show in the design area - only in Preview or published. The video widget still needs a little troubleshooting but that deserves another topic. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Although I don't know exactly what code you are referring to, changes to the navigation bar using CSS won't appear in EverWeb. I think that the most amazing feature would be to have the chance to import iWeb sites: I have many sites made with iWeb and hundred of (expensive) templates. For me, and for many, many iWeb users, to find a way to transfer our sites to EverWeb would be a very important reason to decide to buy EverWeb.

Many people have fantasized about this without realizing that it is an impossible dream! Don't they ever wonder why no other developer has done this? Although EverWeb works in a very similar way to iWeb, the method it uses to construct some of the basic elements is different. EW creates far better and more efficient websites than iWeb ever could and major items like the navigation are created along the lines of established practice. Although a lot of people are recreating their iWeb sites in EverWeb using copy and paste I don't understand why they would do this. It makes more sense to take the opportunity to build a completely new site using the advanced techniques available. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | Maybe because we have many sites already made (and hundred of expensive templates), Roddy. Your suggestion is good for people that begins today to create websites, bur for other people with a big work already done would be very nice to export their actual sites from iWeb to EverWeb, in some way. | |

This is not HAPPINESS...I paid for the new everweb hosting package...I listed some of my concerns...questions...this was on Thursday...I saw one answer to read the video tutorials..thats okay but I had specific guestions...I know there is no live help but I was under the impression that there would be personal email answers to my specific requests/concerns....what's the good of the extra 6 months that I bought into if I can't do anything with it now...Where is my old friend Jeremy..? I always had a prompt response and and answer to my concerns..this is what prompted me to take a chance on this new site....loved the software..was fun working with it..but this is not a hobby and time is money..Thanks ..Lea Also how much digging/time do I have to spend trying to find my questions and answers on the forums.? |

Lea, You have gotten responses to all of your questions. But after we provide an answer to you, you just ask the same question as if we haven't responded. http://billing.ragesw.com/forum.php?act=thread&tid=1465 You don't answer my follow up questions either so I can't help you further. There are video tutorials and written instructions that answer all of these issues. I have already sent these to you in the above forum. You should take the time to review them. I sent you the specific video that walks you through all your questions. It even comes with written instructions too. Then you submit your questions in random forum topics such as this one. The original subject has nothing to do with this issue. Now everyone subscribed to this topic will get an email they don't care about. It isn't fair to other customers and I've already mentioned that you shouldn't do this. Lastly your last message was posted just 11 hours ago. We are helping a lot of customers so please be patient when posting questions. I cannot just keep responding to your questions when they are the exact same. I don't have additional details to give you. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Customer service and peer support in the forum has always been a strong point with EW. The discussion forum for the video player that I use, which I love, has a 4 day turn around to get a response from admin. We should be so lucky!
